Rejoice!

"The enjoyment of God is the only happiness with which our souls can be satisfied. To go to heaven fully to enjoy God, is infinitely better than the most pleasant accomodations here. Fathers and mothers, husbands and wives, or children, or the company of earthly friends are but shadows; but God is the substance. These are but scattered beams, but God is the sun. These are but streams. But God is the ocean."
- Jonathan Edwards

Oh I just absolutely love that! What a joy and blessing it is that even the most enjoyable things we have are nothing compared to Christ! Also what a joy it is to think that the things that we enjoy on this earth are enjoyable because of Christ. We can scrub our floors, drink orange juice, clean our closets, bake a cake, knit a scarf, or have coffee with a friend all to the glory of God!
How awesome is that!?!? It just really puts things into perspective when I realize that God loved me so much to send His son to die for me so that I could be saved, and now because of that I can take joy in doing things like cleaning my house to the glory of God! It is just such a blessing. Life is just such joy with Christ and remembering that from Him, to Him, and through Him are all things and to Him be the glory forever. It's such a great reminder to me; not to complain or become frustrated with little things in life when I think about the infinite joy I have in Christ and the numerous blessings He has so graciously given. Blessings blogger world, and as a good friend of mine would say, "don't let satan rob you of your joy"!

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called iin one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritually songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God." - Colossians 3:15-16
